Cancellation policy for guests
Understanding the New Cancellation Policy for Guests
At Private Chef Manager, we’re always working to make things clearer and more balanced for both chefs and guests. Starting September 4th, 2025, we’re introducing a new cancellation policy.
If the request was made ON or AFTER September 4th, 2025
- 15 days or more before the service: The guest gets a full refund.
- Within 24 hours of payment: The guest gets a full refund (as long as the service is scheduled more than 3 days away).
- Less than 15 days before the service: No refund will be issued, but our team will do their best to support the guest.
What this means for chefs
- Guests have a clear and fair window for cancellations.
- Chefs are better protected against last-minute changes.
- The process is simple and transparent, ensuring fewer surprises for both sides.
If the request was made BEFORE September 4th, 2025
- More than 30 days before the service: The guest gets a full refund.
- Between 8 and 29 days before the service: The guest gets a 50% refund, and the other 50% goes to the chef. Alternatively, the guest can reschedule with the same chef within 90 days.
- Less than 7 days before the service: No refund will be issued. The chef will receive the Service Fee in their proposal.
Why the change?
We’ve simplified the rules for new bookings so everyone knows where they stand. Guests can book with peace of mind, and chefs can rely on a clearer, more consistent process.
A Quick Tip: The key thing to remember is to look at the date the request was made. That’s what decides which cancellation policy applies — not the service date itself.
